TORONTO, August 5, 2022 — BlueVoyant, an industry-leading cyber defense company converging internal and external security, today announced that IT World Canada, a leading online media outlet for IT professionals, named Amanda Vicinanzo, PMP, director of implementation, to its 2022 Canada’s Top Women in Cybersecurity list.
The Top Women in Cybersecurity list was created by IT World Canada in association with the Canadian Chapter of the Women in Security & Resilience Alliance (WISECRA) and the Women in Security Forum to recognize women who have advanced the Canadian security industry. Twenty women, including Vicinanzo, were named to this year’s list.
“I am honored to be named to IT World Canada’s Top Women in Cybersecurity,” said Vicinanzo. “One of my passions is bringing women into the field of cybersecurity. Women belong at all tables where decisions are made, and among those most important decisions are protecting an organization’s critical digital ecosystems. This award and program will hopefully inspire more women to pursue cybersecurity careers.”
Vicinanzo brings more than 15 years of cybersecurity experience to her work at BlueVoyant and has worked on some of the largest network and security projects in North America. At BlueVoyant, she leads the Global Project Management teams that onboard new clients into the company’s advanced-technology platforms to ensure a successful engagement. Vicinanzo has worked tirelessly to help BlueVoyant become one of Microsoft’s leading cybersecurity partners in Canada. The company was recently honored in the Microsoft Canada Impact Awards as a finalist for both the Healthcare Impact Award and the Security Impact Award, among other recent accolades from Microsoft.
BlueVoyant’s Microsoft consulting team, based in Canada, and other stellar BlueVoyant teams are doing some of the most innovative work in cybersecurity. In 2020, BlueVoyant acquired Managed Sentinel, a Toronto-based company and leader in Microsoft Security deployment and management, to better serve customers in Canada and globally.
"Amanda’s experience, leadership, and dedication to mentorship have led BlueVoyant to great success, and even more importantly, helped our clients to improve their cyber defenses,” said Marius Mocanu, president and co-founder of Managed Sentinel. “We are delighted to see her success being recognized in IT World Canada’s Top Women in Cybersecurity."
