BlueVoyant Expands its Portfolio and Announces Partnership with Logicalis to Strengthen Innovation Offering for Security Operations Centers (SOCs)
January 19, 2023
MEXICO CITY, January 19, 2023 — BlueVoyant, an industry-leading cyber defense company converging internal and external security, today announced a new strategic alliance with Logicalis Group, a leading provider of information and communication technology services and solutions with operations in Europe, North and South America, Asia Pacific, and Africa.
The main objective of this alliance is to strengthen both companies' portfolios and develop an innovative Security Operations Center (SOC) offering for the Mexican market, taking advantage of each company’s strengths and capabilities.
There is a growing demand for the adoption of security resources and assets, to adjust to the new reality of organizations, as they are facing major challenges, mainly since the start of the pandemic in 2020, due to, among other issues, the digital transformation and the growing need to prioritize security in the technological agenda of multiple industries as a result of the increase in users working remotely.
In this context, and according to the World Economic Forum's Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2022, last year was a record year for cybercrime, with a 151% increase in ransomware attacks. Mexico was one of the countries with the highest number of attacks in Latin America.
Despite multiple efforts, and the significant increase in investment in security solutions and services, from the perspective of BlueVoyant's threat intelligence unit, the impact of non-assertive implementations of security controls, and the lack of resources to ensure their operation and maintenance, constitutes per se a determining security gap.
The SOC helps to address these challenges by allowing the supervision and administration of information system security, monitored through collection tools, event correlation and remote intervention.
Logicalis' Next Generation Security Operation Center (NG-SOC) service is oriented to enable countermeasures executed in an automatic or controlled manner, based on an effective and contextual management of security events and incidents, acting as an extension of the organizations' security team.
"In a modern threat detection environment, it is no longer sufficient for operators to rely solely on their technical expertise,” said BlueVoyant's International President, Gadi Goldstein. “Information centers such as Network Operation Centers (NOCs) and SOCs are increasingly relying on artificial intelligence tools for the identification of data and events that are relevant to the organization's cybersecurity. The challenge of maintaining cybersecurity with the growth of remote employment is another pressing need today."
One noteworthy aspect of this alliance is that it is focused on the development of initiatives associated with the deployment and adoption of Microsoft security solutions. Microsoft is a strategic partner of both companies.
According to BlueVoyant's executives, with this alliance they will pursue an automated SOC in Spanish, with regional and global coverage, which will contribute to the adoption of Microsoft's advanced security solutions in the IT environments of organizations, in addition to the possibility of developing a local offer oriented to OT (Operations Technology).
BlueVoyant's mission is to help defend enterprises around the world against agile and well-funded cyber attackers by providing unparalleled visibility, insight responsiveness. The company works with the largest commercial and proprietary data set available, so by moving one step closer to its goals, it adds one more partner to its ranks.
"The incorporation of BlueVoyant into our ecosystem of alliances is an extremely significant milestone in strengthening our capabilities and offering, which allows us to strengthen the scope of our portfolio of cybersecurity services around our Microsoft offering, and drive a differentiated security conversation in industries where this technological domain is crucial in meeting the business objectives of our customers," Carlos Brito, executive vice president at Logicalis.
