UX Designer for Cyber Risk Service (Remote)

BlueVoyant is seeking a creative User Experience (UX) Designer to join our growing third-party cyber risk (3PR) product team focused on helping deliver an intuitive user experience for our customer delivery platform.
As a designer, you will be working with a product team composed of engineering and technical product management to solve problems our users encounter with protecting against distributed risk across their supply chains.  This will include conducting user research, developing low-fidelity clickable prototypes, gathering feedback, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, running experiments, and refining proposed design with input from the team.  Your prototypes will be used to help test, iterate, and deliver the best customer experience possible.

The ideal candidate has familiarity of the security product landscape, user personas that interact within it, and/or customer success/delivery operations.

The successful candidate will be directly responsible for delivering design prototypes that meet the needs of our customers and prospects, supporting our rapid growth and market expansion.

Qualifications for the UI/UX Designer position

Must Haves

●    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (2-4 years)
●    1-3 years of experience in visual and interaction design
●    Strong knowledge and application of interaction design and design thinking principles
●    Ability to maintain and adhere to a design system
●    Experience with and strong command of design tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, Sketch, InVision, and others
●    Familiarity in several additional areas of user experience design (e.g., user experience research, information architecture, prototype engineering)
●    Knowledge of accessibility design (e.g., 508 compliance, ADA compliance)
●    Excellent attention to detail
●    Superb organizational skills to manage multiple tasks to meet demanding deadlines
●    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including ability to present design ideas with clarity and passion and receive feedback with open-mindedness
●    Creative and analytical approach to problem-solving
●    Comfortable working with current UX methodologies, best practices, and tracking industry trends
●    Fundamental understanding of user experience role in software development lifecycle methodologies
●    Experience working within Agile Development methodologies

Nice to Have:

●    Possess a strong interest or background in cybersecurity and/or cyber risk.
●    Experience in developing user interaction with portals, data visualization projects and tools, and/or content strategy for Business to Business (B2B) SaaS products
●    Experience and/or familiarity with user research such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing

What you will do as a UI/UX Designer

●    Combine design thinking with design execution to produce usable and intuitive user interfaces
●    Work within design system to create layouts that reinforce BlueVoyant style and/or voice through its visual touchpoints
●    Design and prototype solutions for web applications
●    Work closely with product manager to build and conduct user experience research and user tests to inform and/or validate design decisions, user personas, product direction, and competitive intelligence
●    Communicate design solutions to engineers and other stakeholders
●    Perform design reviews during development and user acceptance testing to ensure results meet defined criteria
●    Collaborate with the rest of the team and cross business unit design counterparts to evolve and refine our design system, ensuring visual cohesion and engineering efficiency across all user touchpoints
●    Help build out design processes, tools, and culture
●    Participate and contribute to the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions
