Experience: 2 – 5 years in a project management role, 1 – 2 years in cybersecurity/infrastructure

Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical or relevant field.

Certifications (nice to have): PMP, CISSP, CISM, CCNA, CISA

Summary Job Description and Functions

Seeking an outstanding Cybersecurity Project specialist with experience in technical cyber projects. The Project Specialist will be working in conjunction with project staff to assist with the implementation of programs and projects. Typical duties include planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs and projects, coordinating project activities, collaborating with project team members, developing measurable project goals and objectives, and monitoring progress toward achievement.  Will also be responsible for preparing agendas for meetings, document key decisions and collaborate with team members to develop project collateral. May also be tasked to write and disseminate work plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, progress reports and presentations.

Role Success Criteria:

●    Managing numerous complex projects with various priorities and stakeholders

●    Developing and executing action plans for completing technical IT implementation projects

●    Effectively estimate dependencies and project specifications and build into timeline to meet project deadlines

●    Coordinating with technical and non-technical teams and effectively delegating responsibilities to team members

●    Creating thorough and accurate reports and providing status updates on projects; presenting findings to senior leadership on a routine basis

●    Track project performance using appropriate KPIs, metrics, tools, and industry best practices, techniques, and standards

●    Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

●    Demonstrates strong quantitative and analytic skills and aptitude. 

●    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

●    Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, proven ability to organize complex processes involving multiple, detailed tasks and multiple inputs. 

●    Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines and manage to schedule.  Working knowledge of quality improvement methods and concepts. 

●    Working knowledge of the cybersecurity terms and concepts

●    Ability to use basic project planning skills.

●    Ability to develop and oversee multiple projects within a program.
