Chris Ensey is the Chief Technology Officer for BlueVoyant. Chris brings 20 years of information security and engineering experience focused on national security and cyber defense. Prior to joining BlueVoyant, he was Chief Operating Officer at Riot Blockchain where he was responsible for growing numerous ventures, including building one of the largest cryptocurrency mining operations in North America.
Chris has held leadership positions at Dunbar, SafeNet, and IBM. While at Dunbar he founded their cybersecurity division providing managed detection and response services globally. At SafeNet he was the Director of Government Solutions, leading product management across their suite of data protection and authentication products. As IBM's Principal Security Strategist, he served as solutions architect and client liaison for the Department of Defense and Intelligence community.
He has an extensive background in software engineering, data engineering, and cloud technologies. Some of his earlier work included the development of sonar systems, UAV mission planning software, and cross domain solutions. At SAIC, he managed engineering teams deploying mission critical capabilities to the signals intelligence community. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.
